Meekz Contemporary Jewellery is an environmentally sustainable design label, that transforms the everyday into something unique and beautiful, creating pieces that tell a story.
Designed by silversmith Jemica Ostrofski, she uses traditional silversmithing techniques such as hand sawing, soldering and hammer texturing, to bring life to her sketched drawings, creating statement jewellery that can be worn every day. Adopting an ethically responsible and environmentally friendly practice, all Meekz collections are made using recycled, reclaimed and repurposed metals, breathing life back into forgotten treasures.
Classically trained at Griffith University – The Queensland College of Art, Jemica followed her passion becoming a qualified jeweller with first class honours in 2009.
Inspired to pass on her skills and knowledge, Jemica teaches jewellery making workshop to all ages, encouraging creativity, confidence and learning, while highlighting the importance of sustainability.
