WELCOME

For the safety, enjoyment, and comfort of all attendees, exhibitors, and staff, entry to this event is subject to the following Conditions of Entry. By entering the venue, you agree to comply with these conditions and any instructions from event staff or security personnel.

TICKETING & GENERAL ADMISSION

• Entry is only permitted with a valid ticket or accreditation.
• All patrons must present a valid ticket for scanning upon entry. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable except as required by law.
• Each ticket allows same-day access to both Dog Lovers and Cat Lovers Festivals
• Children under 14 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
• Entry does not guarantee access to all attractions or sessions.
• The organisers may cancel or modify the event for safety or due to factors beyond their control. Refunds will only be offered if the event is fully cancelled and not rescheduled.
• You must exit the venue promptly at closing time. Late entry is not permitted without approval.
• The event organisers reserve the right to:
  • Refuse entry or remove any person from the venue without refund for failure to comply with these conditions or for engaging in disruptive or unsafe behaviour.
  • Conduct security screenings at any time.
  • Make changes to event programming or venue layout without notice.
• Persons gaining unauthorised access or failing to follow directions may be removed or prosecuted.

LIABILITY

The Dog Lovers and Cat Lovers Festivals feature live animals, crowds, temporary structures, and variable surfaces. While safety is a top priority, risks cannot be entirely eliminated.

• Attendees enter at their own risk. The organisers, venue, and associated parties accept no liability for injury, illness, loss, damage or theft sustained during the event, except where required by law.
• You are responsible for your personal belongings at all times.
• By entering the Festivals you indemnify the organisers against any cost, expense, or damages arising from your attendance.

ANIMAL WELFARE & INTERACTION

The Dog Lovers and Cat Lovers Festivals place animal welfare and the safe interaction of Dogs and people at its highest priority. Please abide by the rules below for the safe interaction of all Dogs at the event.

• For the safety of all visitors, exhibitors and animals, visitors are not permitted to bring their own pets to the Dog Lovers and Cat Lovers Festivals.  Any pet brought without prior approval will result in denied entry or removal.
• Certified assistance animals are permitted.
• To ensure animal welfare and guest safety:
• Do not touch any dog or cat unless clearly invited by their handler.
• Do not feed or offer treats to any dog or pull on any dog leads or collars.
• Keep hands away from dog and cat mouths, ears, eyes and tails.
• Never approach animals in crates, enclosures, carriers, or while resting.
• Children must be actively supervised during all animal interactions.
• Provoking animals or unsafe behaviour will result in immediate removal from the Festivals.
• If in any doubt, please ask the dog or cat handler in all cases.
• Animal welfare staff and licensed vets are on site and may remove animals or patrons as needed. If you have any concerns about dog or cat welfare please report it immediately to the Organiser’s Office.

EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS

Whilst we acknowledge the important function of emotional support animals to provide comfort and confidence, we also acknowledge that they are not specifically trained for public access and lack the same legal rights afforded to assistance dogs.  For the safety of all visitors and animals, emotional support animals are not permitted at the Cat & Dog Lovers Festivals.

EMERGENCIES & FIRST AID

• First aid officers and a qualified vet are on site.  All security staff have current first aid qualifications and can assist in an emergency.
• In emergencies, follow staff instructions and proceed to evacuation points.

PUBLIC SAFETY & BEHAVIOUR

• Please move carefully through high-traffic areas and obey all signage.
• Watch for trip hazards such as leads, ramps, uneven flooring, and sudden surface changes.
• All accidents, incidents or hazards including spills or animal waste must be reported to staff immediately.
• Aggressive, offensive, or abusive behaviour (verbal or physical) toward staff, exhibitors, or attendees will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the venue
• No unauthorised commercial activity, including flyer distribution, product sampling, or solicitation, is allowed.
• Attendees must follow all signage, safety instructions, and announcements.
• Emergency exits must remain clear at all times.

HEALTH & HYGIENE

• Please do not attend if you are unwell, experiencing symptoms, or required to isolate under public health orders.
• Attendees must follow all public health guidelines and directions from event staff.
• Sanitiser stations are available at the venue.

SMOKING, ALCOHOL & PROHIBITED ITEMS

• This is a smoke-free and vape-free event. Smoking/vaping is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.
• Alcohol may not be brought into the venue. Alcohol purchased within the event must be consumed within licensed areas.
• Anyone found intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances will be refused entry or removed.
• The following items are strictly prohibited:
  • Alcohol, illicit drugs, drug paraphernalia
  • Glass bottles, cans, or breakable containers
  • Fireworks, flares, laser pointers
  • All knives (including pocketknives), weapons (or items that could be used as weapons) or dangerous goods
  • Bikes, scooters, skateboards (unless authorised)
  • Pets without prior approval
  • Drones or unmanned aerial devices
  • Items deemed hazardous or disruptive by event or venue staff
• Bag checks will be conducted at the entrance. Refusal to allow inspection may result in denied entry.

PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA

By entering the Dog Lovers and Cat Lovers Festivals, you consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional use.

• Entry to this event constitutes consent to be photographed, filmed, or recorded by the event organiser or authorised media. These images and recordings may be used for promotional or marketing purposes.
• Personal photography and videography are allowed, provided they do not obstruct walkways or disrupt the event.
• No photography is allowed in bathrooms or parenting rooms.
• Commercial or professional photography requires written permission from event organisers.
• CCTV and security personnel operate throughout the venues.

COMPETITIONS & GIVEAWAYS

• All competitions and giveaways including free product sampling is accessed via the Festival app, downloadable from the App Store for iPhone or Android platforms.
• Many exhibitor giveaways and competitions attract large crowds and queues.  If you are queuing for a giveaway, please be mindful of other visitors and provide clear access in aisles. 
• Do not queue across the front of other exhibitor stands and move aside to allow visitors access when required. 

• At all times, visitors are required to comply with requests from Organiser staff and security.
• All giveaways are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.

LOST PROPERTY

All lost property will be held at the Organisers Office and held for a maximum of 7 days.  If not claimed within that period, lost property will be discarded or donated to a charitable organisation.
