Animal Management Plan (AMP)

As you are bringing a dog to the Festival you must read, understand and return a signed copy of the Animal Management (AMP) and abide by it throughout the duration of the Festival.

All dogs attending the Melbourne Dog Lovers Festival must also be registered to attend. Once you have returned a signed copy of the Animal Management Plan we will share a link to register your dog/s that will be in attendance.

A yellow identification tag will then be issued to each registered Dog. This tag is required to be affixed to your Dog’s lead/ collar throughout the duration of the Festival.

Dogs without this tag will be denied entry by security. One registration is required per handler.

Runway Music

To ensure your pooch can strut their stuff to their favourite tunes, please supply us with your preferred runway song

    Please provide 250-300 words describing your famous pooch, highlighting what makes them so unique. For example: ‘With 20,000 loyal followers Silly Sausage Stacey is one of the biggest yet smallest Dachshund’s on Instagram! Stacey’s life revolves around sausages including hotdog pillows and sausage toys. Stacey also loves her bath time, rolling in autumn leaves & playing in the rain – the deeper the puddle the better! This silly sausage is always ready for a run around the park as long as it’s followed by a snooze on the couch’.

    Our MC Brody Young will introduce you and your pooch with this Bio, whilst you walk the runway. He will then spend a few minutes chatting to you on the Stage and asking you a few questions.

    InstaPooch Marketing Support

    In exchange for the substantial free exposure we are providing, all InstaPooch participants must provide marketing support wherever the opportunity exists. Please see below the list of requirements as agreed by you in your original application.
    • Post at least four times on your Instagram Page / Facebook to promote the Festival and your participation (info will be provided by the Dog Lovers Festival)
    • Participate in at least one 30 minute spot in the Pat-a-Pooch Zone
    • Actively promote the special 30% discount ticket offer to your Instagram and other followers
