The English Toy Terrier<\/strong> developed from the Old English Black and Tan Terrier. They are closely related to the larger Manchester Terrier so they are extremely fast and agile.<\/p>\n

The origins of this Dog are in the world of the rat pit, a sport popular in the cities of Victorian England. Terriers were placed in a circle with a number of rats. Bets were then taken as to which Dog would kill its quota of rats in the fastest time. In 1848 a terrier named \u2018Tiny\u2019 is recorded killing 300 rats in less than an hour.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
