Positive, real-world training for everyday dogs
Brooke Ellis has spent 13 years helping Aussie families raise confident, well‑mannered dogs using positive reinforcement methods. From Lennox Head, Brooke studied with the Delta Society and has works across puppy classes, assistance dog training and community dog events, always with a focus on real‑life, family‑friendly outcomes.
Alongside everyday pet training, Brooke has also worked as a dog wrangler on film sets for a handful of advertising projects, bringing calm, reliable canine behaviour into high‑pressure environments. The heart behind Dogly is simple: thoughtful, kind training should give dogs more freedom, not less, by teaching them how to cope, listen and make great choices in our busy human world.
Where to see Brooke Ellis
At the Brisbane Dog Lovers Festival this year, Brooke will present Heel Work & Headspace: Teaching Dogs to Listen, Not Lean on the Lead. This presentation explores heel work as a thinking game, taught the same way assistance dogs are trained, where dogs choose your left side as if the lead doesn’t exist. It then shifts to “Stay Tricky”, cultivating genuine attentiveness to cues, because nothing undoes training faster than patterns dogs can predict and ignore.
